    Doesn’t even have to notice the material I’m working with, much less what tool (though it was Mom who both knit and crocheted and we never changed our minds that much that fast)

    I have perceived that crocheting is somehow considered superior to knitting by those who participate. Why is that? Or, are my perceptions incorrect?

    @codger1944, both knitting and crochet are wonderful needle arts. Being a lifelong crocheter, I do know that many knitters look down on crochet and crocheters often feel like an unloved stepchild but each has its pluses and each is a great way to make beautiful things.
