I discovered this by accident a few weeks ago and it really bummed me out – made me think I was doing more walking without realizing it. Now I take mine off when I sit down to read or rock a grandson to sleep. (Though some days it might balance out the zilch I get for pushing a grocery basket around a huge store!)
As Lamberger said, rocking is good for the legs and knees, but it is also good for the hips and lower back. Excellent exercise for folks who can’t get around too well. If you are unsteady on your feet and worry about falling, as rocker is a good substitute.

Put some weights on the back and rocking legs, and you might just have something there.

Take it to the hardware store and hook it up to the paint can shaker.

She’s been off her rocker for awhile. Months ago she told Nelson to wear her Fitbit and go walk around the yard a bunch of times.

Only yesterday, I got a black leather swivel chair for my computer desk and it’s fantastic!
It’s comfy and best of all… You can rock on it! Opal would love it.
