In a few years, when you’re gone, Earl, that is what he will remember.

Oh, so true as far as dealing with a cover that is too short.

I’m not sure I can envision life like a blanket with that kind of description.

Behold the turtle, who maketh no progress until he sticketh out his neck. And as for those short blankets? I really have fastened two of them together (long side to long side). The result isn’t all that aesthetically pleasing, but it’s (barely) long enough and it’s warm too!

And back when we woke up to a too darn cool wood stove, I slept with my socks and (sometimes long) undies in the pillow case. No point being uncomfortable!

Right, Nelson, then one day you can put them all into a book and get it published – “Stupid Things My Grandpa Told Me.”

If have the same story 10 times or more.

I think Earl’s pearls of wisdom belong back into the oyster !

C’mon Earl, be a little more positive, especially with someone that has just started this voyage.

I will not tiptoe through life so I can arrive safely at death.

Living is a train ride with no conductor and no time table. Lots of shunting onto sidings and changes of views but with only the one destination.

That’s a good description of how to deal with Covid.

To blazes with that, just go and live in the tropics, blankets are superfluous there!

This exactly describes my weighted blanket, and I’m not all that tall. Why do they make them so short?

Grampa is sounding a bit like Foghorn Leghorn.

Cut 6 inches off one end of the blanket, then sew it onto the other end. Problem solved.

When Dad came up with a good important one he would tell me that I needed to get that tattooed on my butt so I’d remember it.

It’s nice to have a living grandfather to sit down and share ideas and stories. I never had that opportunity with my grandparents.

Or buy a blanket bigger then the bed, hubby and I did that.

I have often felt like a turtle. Pull inside my shell and wait for the bad to pass.

That way I don’t have to personally hurt anybody.

You gotta “fly like an eagle, to the sea…”

Grandfather, I have King sized electric blankets.

Nelson, " What is a fetal position, Grandpa ?"………I wanna hear Earl’s answer.

Time to find someone to share blankets with.

Now this is good advise! We’re having a cold stretch up here and this approach would work.
