What are some places around the world which on your bucket lists, Pickles readers? I’d like to go to Samoa (American or Western), Japan, Argentina, and Denmark.
I’d like to finish seeing our 50 states – got 5 to go. If I were ever lucky enough to travel internationally, I’ve always wanted to see Greece and Scotland/Ireland. I think those days have passed though.
I was given a similar book recently; 100 Books You Should Read Before You Die. Skimming the contents, I discovered that I had, in fact, read ninety-six of the the listed titles. I’d tried to read two others that were listed, and given up in bored despair. And there were two of which I just say “No, I don’t think so,” only because I’ve seen the movies.
The whole idea of foreign travel as a bucket list is bizarre. If you want to go live somewhere else, work there and contribute to that community, that’s a wonderful idea. However, jaunting around while your own community disintegrates and at great environmental cost just does not seem to be a worthy aspiration.
Did live in the tropics for awhile and swan with some friendly jellyfish, but at my time of life, I’m so lazy that I would rather watch travel documentaries then go to the trouble and expense of actual travel.

“Old” isn’t a state of mind so much as it’s a state of joints.

Why does adding Before You Die to a title sell more books?

Sometimes me thinks it should be called a Bragging List instead of a Bucket List ;-)
