I think that’s the most we’ve ever seen Opal wear!

Speaking as one, In real life, a post menopausal woman would be boiling hot lol!

Looks like me at 72 degrees in our house. I HATE air conditioning.

Sure but those metric degrees are almost twice as big as the fahrenheit ones.

We don’t play that game. We set it and forget it.

I live in the south and no matter how hot it was, even in mid-summer, there were always people at work wearing sweaters and sweatshirts. They didn’t want the fans on even though the rest of us were melting.

Have a cot set up for her in the open sunshine. After night the sunshine will reappear.

Get her some snowshoes for the Fourth.

This is me and my wife in reverse. She likes to live in an icebox. I literally just put on some warmer clothes to ward off the blasting AC.

My mom in law lived with us for about 10 years till the end of her life at 92. She was only 4’10" tall and probably didn’t weigh more than 100 lbs. She was cold all the time. Me, when I turned that certain age, my house couldn’t be cold enough. So it was a challenge with the two of us at opposite ends of the temperature scale to find a comfortable temperature to please everyone. Hubby… over time he started to be like his mom. Too cold even at 80 degrees. Ugh!!!

Yep – that’s us. She will be huddled up in a heavy sweater under a blanket complaining she’s freezing, and the room is 73°F. I, meanwhile, am sitting absolutely motionless under the ceiling fan to reduce (not eliminate, not even minimize – reduce the sweating.

Centigrade or Fahrenheit … big difference, you know.

Sometimes a degree or two is all it takes. I’m fine at 75, but at 73 I start to get chilled, & getting chilled aggravates my depression no end. I keep the heat at 75 & the a/c at 78.

I thought it was the women that were turning the temperature down.

It was 1 degree Celsius, not Fahrenheit, you dolt!

Our lab is in the basement, and whenever it gets hot outside, they crank up the air conditioning in the building. If it gets cool enough for the upper floors, we’re freezing the the basement.

“The Tipping Point”……

Tornado fans and “circulators” are a trusted method of moving warm, or cool, air around our house. Sweatpants and hoodies work when ever it’s too cold for some. Five cats and three dogs are also nice along with a wood burning stove. It even has space to set a kettle and teapot to keep them warm.

Is it summer time why so cold in the house? Would not want to pay for their electric bill.

What Earl meant to say was, “I turned down the thermostat only one degree.”

One degree? That’s all it takes, mon frere!

Yep, that’s me and my hubby: he is actually naked in the house from the heat, I, on the other hand, am wearing a hoodie as the A/C is just too cold on me.
