Earl was a Fickle Pickle

That’s what you get for saying “I do”, Opal!

Interesting that Pearl actually has anything to do with them. I think most people would be pretty upset to be jilted in favour of a sibling.

If I recall from some Pickles strip last year or so ago, Peal had planned on naming her children Burl and Veryl if she had married Earl, much to Earl’s horror of envisioning such a thing.

Opal loves Earl but I’m sure there times when she wants to square up!

I occasionally have to deal with my ex about our shared son. Very occasionally, thank goodness, because the very idea of trying to communicate with her now gives me squeebles.

Pearl should be thanking Opal for biting the bullet.

My Grandpa’s old saying rings true, “Love is blind, but marriage is the eye opener!”

I’ve been reading this strip for years & somehow the sisters names just clicked with me. Garnet & Saphire are some others?

This story would make a great arc.

my best friend divorced his wife and married her sister. His father-in-law sent him the electric tooth brush he had left at his house as a wedding gift.

Sometimes you really dig a girl the moment you kiss her,And then you get distracted by her older sister.When in walks her father and takes you in line,And says, “Better go on home, son, and make up your mind.”

That’s hilarious! Well, it didn’t get in the way of the sister’s friendship, but maybe she’s right and Pearl is now a bit happy also that she didn’t end up with Earl.

My grandma stole her sister’s BF and married him; those two women never got along again.

I know of a lady, who started dating a married man and the guy filed for divorce from his wife. Before the divorce was finalized, they broke up and he went back to his wife and son. Later on she started dating his younger brother and married him.

One of my aunts was certifiably nuts, regular electroshock therapy and all, and one dinner on an overnight visit my elbow dropped my fork. She went ballistic. ’Haven’t seen any of them since 1951. And one became CEO of a bus company.

Has the entire story ever been told? You’d think Pearl would be too bitter about it to ever talk to Opal again

my two sisters haven’t seen or spoken to each other for twenty years or so.

Earl has always had lousy taste in women. Both Opal and her sis are pretty terrible.

My sister did that. Was engaged to the poor guy when he went off to collage then married his brother! Pretty crappy but I got an awesome nephew out of it!

I dated sisters once, but not at the same time, and only once. It was a little weird.

Well my grandfather married 2 sisters. It isn’t as bad as it sounds, the first one died young and the second one was my maternal grandmother. So my mother had two half-brothers who were also cousins to her.
