Once, as my wife and I were getting ready to go to work, she handed me an apple. The only time she ever packed my lunch. I have never asked her to bring me something from the kitchen. I didn’t get married because I wanted a maid servant.
Great first panel but makes me feel melancholy. Since the pandemic I’ve been kinda lost with something to hope for. With my separation I’ve lost the something/someone to love. 1 out 3 may be good for baseball, not so much for life.
How I do Grilled Cheese: Japanese Mayo outside, butter inside, Triple cheddar Airfryer @ 375 – 4 minutes flip it 3 minutes, Kettle chips on the side and a glass of Peach tea.
A well grilled cheese sandwich is indeed a worthy wish. My personal MOST comfort-food. (I’ve been wishing/having “melted witches” every day since Wednesday. I’m almost ready to face reality again,)
PS: Spouse likes hers with mayo on the inside, and often some mild lunch meat such as turkey or chicken breast. She likes a any of a variety of cheeses in hers, and not very dark on the outside. I like mine with JUST cheese (sharp cheddar is best) and perhaps a bit of sriracha or harissa if the cheese needs a bit more oomph. Fried medium brown (about 30 seconds per side longer than for Spouse) with plenty of butter.
PPS: If you enjoy sriracha and haven’t tried harissa, I recommend it highly. Comes in green and red, both excellent.

Something to love: grilled cheese sandwich; something to hope for: glass of milk; what happened to something to do?

Surprised Roscoe isn’t on the other arm of the chair! Unless he’s in the kitchen scarfing down the left-out cheese!

Grilled cheese without tomato soup? A travesty.
