Pluggers remember when going shopping was for one of three occasions — getting school clothes (always on the hottest day in August), buying Christmas presents (if the weather permitted), and getting an outfit for Easter. Anything else (e.g., birthday parties, Mothers and Fathers Day gifts) had to be purchased at the local drug/gift store (where the choices were limited to Evening in Paris or Desert Rose scents, Russell Stover Assorted Chocolates, men’s handkerchiefs, funny ashtrays, and assorted ceramic angel and animal figurines. The Sears catalog was for everything else.
Was shopping with my wife once, when a sales clerk noticed me looking around and inquired what I was looking for. I replied, “Your husband’s waiting chair”.

No, we are there to walk around and around for safe, no ice, exercise. But NOT so much in 2020.

I don’t miss “shopping” in malls of any sort.

I sleep in the vehicle out in the parking lot. Reclining padded seats are much more comfortable than the benches in malls.
