I wear a mask when I mow the lawn or blow leaves, especially off my long gravel driveway. There’s a lot of dust from house construction in my neighborhood, and there are also particles from distant wildfires.
if a person is ill, wear a mask. Better yet, stay home. If a person is well, they aren’t spreading anything. I think a better idea would have been to make if financially possible for more people to stay home from work when they felt sick.
Around here while masks are no longer the most common thing to see, they are still being worn apparently much more than other areas of the U.S. It is rare that we go out and do not see several people at minimum still wearing masks. When we go to a local Asian restaurant most of the serving staff is wearing masks. When we went for our flu shots this year we were surprised how many (of the few) people waiting for the doctor or the eye doctor who shared his waiting room , were wearing masks. A visit last week to the dentist – there was a sign on the door that masks were required and all staff – including the receptionist – were wearing masks. Generally we bring our masks with us and depending on the situation we either do or don’t wear them – based on how big the place is and how crowded it is.
Then again – we live in the county which at one point early on had the third highest count of cases of Covid in the state (NY) which had the highest number of cases in the country. At that point in time our county had more cases of Covid than 48 states (NY and NJ being the exceptions) and more than a number of countries – some of them not so small. Refrigerated trucks which normally would be used for food transportation were being used by the government morgues as they needed more space than they had. So all of this may have something to do with people being more cautious here.

Good for days when I can’t be bothered to shave. Otherwise useless.

Less obvious, more comfortable than masking tape.

I rarely leave the house without my teeth, with a mask on it didn’t matter so much
Without my teeth, I do look 10 years older

Masks make all us ordinary folks look better. Crooked nose, weak or double chins, missing teeth, are all hidden by a mask.

Covers the wrinkles an frown lines but doesn’t do much for the Crow’s Feet around the eyes.

They made for interesting tan lines during the past 3 summers. Vacationing women sitting on the beach in micro bikinis and facemasks.

Spent 5 digits on reconstructive dental work right before Covid. Perfect smile, earned it for sure : ) Then, masks.

That doesn’t work for me – the only part of my face that looks anywhere near my age is the smile lines around my eyes!

Way more likely you’re getting ready to rob a business.

I’ve noticed people give a mask wearer extra room. Something to consider as Christmas shopping crowds warm up in the bullpen.
