I feel that unless adrenaline is running hot you’d probably notice at the time.

He’ll still have all his fingers, as long as he remembers to count the ones that are now lying on the ground.

Fingers are safe after chainsaw use … I have nicked my boots ;-)

But we men pluggers just have to do it, even though our women frown and won’t speak to us for a while.

After a weekend of doing a lot of woodworking, a friend asked how my weekend went. I replied “Fantastic, I have all my fingers, even though several pieces of wood got kind of chewed up!”

I’m a medical coder, and those chainsaw-finger accidents are some of the WORST to have to code. Repairs of bones and nerves and arteries and tendons and ligaments – OH MY! If there’s one thing I’m never going to do in my life, it’s use a chainsaw. Or a table saw for that matter. I’ll be perfectly happy to write a check to the handyman/carpenter should it ever prove necessary.
