Back in my grade school days, one of the field trips was to the Chicago Stock Yards. We little kids got to see exactly all that went on there.
Now some reality shows have cooks who are afraid to butcher a piece of meat. I was not to the caliber of the Junior “Masterchefs” at 13, but that’s because I had never eaten many of those foods (there are still things I’d like to try prepared well, such as Uni and Truffles). I was cooking all the dinners for my family at that age, because I liked my own cooking then as now.
