Welcome to 1984.
I read Brave New World last year, it’s terrifying how many similarities to the modern world there are.
When Orwellian ain’t fiction no more, the year is surely 1984.
Oh, man. Now I’ve got to get out a dictionary.
AMEN!
and this is a library, so shhhh…
Uumm Dystopia! That’s where words come out backwards! Duuuh!
I’m ‘afraid’ not, Dave.
That somehow makes very scary sense.
Does your library etiquette stack up against the Robo cop?
I well remember when 1984 was still off in the distant (to me) future. Now, in the far distant past, it all seems current somehow.
I take it there’s too many loons, nuts and wack jobs running around today!
1984 was good for us. Our 2nd year of marriage, we were D I N Ks (double income, no kids), and the Cubs made the playoffs for the first time in 39 years.
Reality checkmate.
As long as those books are still available in the libraries, there’s hope. What’s scary is when we move from 1984 to Fahrenheit 451.
When you live in a dystopia they remove those books.
Squirrel’s got summa the best lines! Lol!!
Well, this is a POTUS election year. The voting result is already in according to our Electoral College.
