I have a 16 year old Blue Heeler who makes a wide variety of sounds (roo-roo, rrruuuh, bark, yip, etc) that are clearly meant to tell me something. She varies tone, speed, head tilt, stops, starts. I can only guess what she’s saying but others have heard her and agree she is definitely “talking” quite urgently about something. Just wish I knew what it was!
