Who invented okay? Some judges in Iowa came up with it. In the beginning, they used their gavels to hit balls with. But soon, a rash of sore backs from bending over so much led to the evolution of the modern-day croquet mallet. Too bad judges don't use mallets instead of gavels in court today- they could easily bop people on the witness stand lying under oath. Speaking of not telling the truth...
