Jethro used to try teach old Duke to “fetch” on the “Beverly Hillbillies”, but Duke wouldn’t do it. He’d just watch as Jethro “fetched” the stick. So it was more the dog training the boy to “fetch” just as Rover has Red fetching the stick for him.
