The bumblebee bat, Craseowcteris Thonglongyai, weighs less than a penny! Okay... Now what? First came the tin can- then came the can opener nearly 50 years later! Antonio Imbert, the last living member of the gang of men who ambushed and killed Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo in 1961, is a national hero in the Dominican Republic. He was granted the military rank of general so he could be awarded a pension!
The thing about the can opener only sounds amazing. Cans were invented for the army, and they used their knives (which they had with them all the time) to open them. It was only after civilians started using them regularly that someone decided to come up with a specialized tool.
