Tonight’s offering is absolutely true, and my “signature” story:

When I was in the 4th grade, the class bully, Tom Gould, used to target me. Since I was half his size, I didn’t have much of a chance on the playground, but in the classroom I had a little better footing…until he came up with the perfect rejoinder — at least perfect for the fourth grade — of “Not quite, Eromlig!” Anything I would call him, he came back with the same comment.“Gould, you hippo-butt!”

    “Not quite, Eromlig!”

    “Gould, you banana brain!”

    “Not quite, Eromlig!”

No matter what I called him, he came back with the same response. But finally one day, I figured out how to cope with it. I said, “Gould, you homo sapien!”

Note: the teacher was writing on the blackboard at the time. I know she heard the exchange, because, although she didn’t turn around, she stopped writing and her shoulders shook for a good two minutes. It was a glorious day.

Nine plant species … I naively guessed rice, potatoes, beans, and cabbage to start with, but it turns out that those aren’t “species” names.

In case you’re curious, the nine plants are: sugarcane, maize, rice, wheat, potatoes, soybeans, oil-palm fruit, sugar beets and cassava.

I’m just curious… If they knew the speed of the vehicle and how long they’d been travelling after they hit the bird, they must’ve been aware when they hit the poor bird… Why didn’t they stop and release it, then?

Kelly and Bill must fold or take down the masts to get under bridges. I wonder how they do it!

What are the nine plants? I’d say wheat, rice, soy beans, potatoes, and corn are 5 of them.

Hmm, wonder what kind of mileage that pirate ship gets. I mean, RV to begin with, and this only makes it worse. Mileage probably expressed in gallons per mile.

Well if the Cockatoo was flying at 50 mph in the same direction as the car then it was only hit at 10 mph. You could assume the Cockatoo was flying across the road in front of the car, then veered in same direction as car just before impact.

I’m picturing that pirate RV on an interstate highway going under the overpasses.

Dear RBION … there seems to be many people overly obsessed with overpasses. Can you do a RBION on overpasses? How about …

How’s that for self advertisement? The RV “article” was submitted by Bill Rigoni. They are trying to get in Guinness book of world records with the RV. More advertisement for them …

A third of every bite you eat is thanks to bees. If bees weren’t on earth there would be a lot less food. Just a little fact there.

Not far from Port Clinton is this rocket car from a defunct local amusement park. I have rode in this before.
