Drove by the hangar where the Stratolauncher is stored out in the Mojave desert twice this Spring. Sadly, it wasn’t out of the hangar. But it is amid a bunch of airplanes that are sitting idle possibly due to the effect Covid-19 had on the airline industry.
Wasn’t that plane used as a launch platform for a small test vehicle?
Tundra wild fires have burned for decades. Melting of the permafrost causes tundra which resembles peat to spontaneously combust into a smolder mode, which can explode into open fires, given a spark.
I’m with the spider. I could never get used to sitting on the bank waiting for fish to hit the bait.
my grandfather had part of his land as peat. it burned the whole time he farmed it (40 years). even when the rains put it out it would reignite from the simplest source. my ’ripley’s believe it or NOT’ for the day – people will get tired of posting false statements based on cultural deprivation and social media malarkey on social media. I know, I know NOT!
I always thought the Spruce Goose was the biggest plane. I had the opportunity to tour through the SG when it was moored at Long Beach. It was like walking through a skyscraper laying on it’s side.

I wonder how those wildfires kept going after they got snowed on. I’m not so bright.

Put into perspective, that wing span is nearly 1 and 1/3 the length of an American football field.

Impatient spiders tick me off, especially those with 3 legs on 1 side and 5 on the other. Sorry – I can’t stop counting cartoon spider legs.

Who wouldn’t want to live in Siberia where it’s kind of constantly wildfire season?

Due to the melting permafrost in Siberia the trapped Methane is being released causing fires and added to Climate Change
