I used to work for a Scottish-run seafood smokehouse near Philadelphia, which is now in Miami. I would be dispatched to Newark International Airport to pick up farm-raised North Atlantic salmon that was raised in Chile, which abuts the South Pacific! They had already been slaughtered, and were sent by air freight on Continental Airlines in Styrofoam boxes.
Circa 2000, a man planned to walk across the ocean with buoyant footwear, lugging a raft full of provisions. I think it’s just as well that a weather mishap caused him to cancel his plan before he set out.
It may work if he is towing a 39 foot dinghy loaded with food, water, radio and safety gear and also has sails. Ha! Ha! if it makes the Guiness Book of Records.
