But if you can’t down all of the habanero ice cream, you have to pay for the gallon of milk.

Bet you 50¢ Jeremy did the outer pieces first..

Wonder if he got a refund from the manufacturer, or maybe a replacement..

Except for the elephant, all the others elicit a “good heavens, why?” response in me.

Holding your breath for 24 minutes? Doubt it. If your brain is deprived of oxygen for more than 2 minutes, you are in trouble. So where did the oxygen come from?

Holding your breath too long can have some side effects, including:

low heart rate from a lack of oxygenCO₂ buildup in your bloodstreamnitrogen narcosis, a dangerous buildup of nitrogen gases in your blood that can make you feel disoriented or inebriated (common among deep-sea divers)decompression sickness, which occurs when nitrogen in your blood forms bubbles in your bloodstream instead of clearing out of your blood when water pressure decreases (called “the bends” among divers)loss of consciousness, or blacking outpulmonary edema, when fluid builds up in the lungsalveolar hemorrhage, or bleeding in your lungslung injury that can lead to total lung collapsecomplete loss of blood flow to the heart, which can cause your heart to stop pumping (cardiac arrest)buildup of dangerous reactive oxygen species (ROS), which happens due to long periods of low oxygen then breathing oxygen back in at high levels, which can damage DNAbrain damage from a protein called S100B that breaks out from your bloodstream into your brain through the blood-brain barrier when your cells are damaged.

I’m going through the lobby of Mfuwe Lodge heading towards that grove of Mangos strutting to the tune of" Elephant Walk" by Hank Mancini!

That ice cream sounds pretty intense, but not the spiciest I’ve ever heard of. I saw a character on an anime eat Wasabi ice cream (as in the ice cream itself is wasabi flavored) and in guiness I saw ghost pepper ice cream that’s SO intense you have to sign a waiver before eating it.

One time I held my breath for 3 minutes. Over 24 minutes? That’s just amazing…

I saw a nature show that showed those elephants calmly walking thru the lodge. And — mangoes are delicious!

Be aware that Sobat’s record was set after hyperventilating pure oxygen for over 20 minutes. The unaided record is just under 12 minutes.

That would be heart breaking to spend that much time on it and find that out. I get upset after a couple of days on a 1500-piece puzzle.

The Mfuwe Lodge is my favorite elephant story. That mango tree was a favorite of a family of elephants when the lodge was constructed. Construction of the building and courtyard walls blocked the elephants from the tree. But, reception had a high roof, and wide entrances. Guests liked being there when the elephants went through.
