    For the past few years, we have seen almost no rabbits around here. My neighbor, who now doesn’t even bother with rabbit fences, speculates that it’s due to the influx of hawks and owls.

    Or, someone that eats a lot of rabbit stew. They are very easy to eliminate.

    Nope. Rabbits are on a cycle. Eleven years, I think. A few. Then more next year. Then more the next. Around year nine, you’re up to your white fluffy tail in them. Then they die off. Starts over when you think there’s not enough left for seed.

    In my experience, deer go straight to the head of the line when it comes to devouring gardens or shrubbery. And where are all the groundhogs?!
