Now, if he had been carrying fresh fruit, those thugs would be in trouble. But all he had were pointed sticks.

This is basically any level of government worker. And probably why we can’t get term limits for congress. Too many new people would make the old guys look bad who are just coasting.

Beaver soldiering. Work slow down. I recall the union shop steward telling me the same thing.

I was taken aside and basically told the same thing after my first job at a large construction company with a State contract.

I was hired by a friend that was a sub contractor doing work at a big plant and I told him you really don’t have enough work for your crew now and he said that’s ok because he got paid for every man he had on the job site so he still made more money.

You just know the cigarette smoking beaver has a Brooklyn accent!

Reminds me of one guy that joined a steel workers union back in the days. He produced 50 pieces of steel while the others did 38. They all surrounded him and one guy said “we produce 38 pieces of steel around here. You got that?” That guy started producing 38 pieces and those guys all of a sudden became his friends. Such a shame to be punished for working harder

Did the thug on the left actually carve out that bat himself? Not too bad, really. (Looks like he even added the Louisville Slugger logo!)

I have been told that in the past, sadly enough.

Will he listen? Gnaw.

It’s a slice of life. Either laugh or cry.

Reminds me when I worked unloading trucks for Roadway and the union shop steward told me to slow down so the company would hire more workers. (I quit!)

Nice little dam you have. Would be a shame if anything happened to it.
