Yes, everyone wants a tip these days, even if they are just running the cash register or swiping your credit card. I had an on-line transaction the other day – no humans involved – and I was asked to leave a tip!
Graham Kerr, “The Galloping Gourmet” used to tell a long story about a seeker after the meaning of life. Having spent his life, exhausted his health, his fortune and most of the spiritual guides on Earth, he visits one last guru.
The guru tells him, “Life is … a Fountain”.
The outraged seeker with his last gasp cries out, “You have the audacity, after my endless quest, to tell me ‘Life is a Fountain’?”
The guru takes a deep breath, looks puzzled and says, “Life is … not a fountain?”
(The point being that you’re not going to get a better answer than that.)
I tell people I’ve seen fish that are triangular in cross section, have blue eyes, horns and gold sides with blue trim. When they think they can call by bluff I refer them to the cowfish (Acanthostracion quadricornis) which are common in Florida grass beds.

Here’s a tip: Don’t “invest” in anything that’s “owned / controlled” by either Elon Musk or Donald Trump.

“Be kind to others” isn’t really in a Great White’s DNA

Do you recognize beauty in nature? Flowers? Trees? A quiet lake? That recognition could tell you something.

So, is the crab also looking for answers or will he be content with “Mt. Hawthorne”?

At least Homer Simpsons didn’t show up and ask the guru if he really is a guru.

Actually, it’s a very good answer. If only everyone followed it….sigh.
