How could the officer keep up in a car where the snow was half way up the tires. Most car’s can’t move on an inch or 2 of snow. Was this a speed trap? Merry Christmas – Educational Page!
Many, many years ago I lived in western Wyoming. There was a small town north of us that took care of the ranches up there. One afternoon one of the ranch hand rode his horse to the local bar and proceeded to get a snootfull. Being hardly able to stay in the saddle he was arrested for DUI on the way home. At his arraignment the ranch hand told the judge, “Your honor, the deputy is right I was drunk. But the horse was not, and he knew the way home.” His case was dismissed.

May the blessing of the Holy Theotokos be on everyone on this day of the Nativity. And may this start of Hanukkah be a blessed one for all.
(I’m Eastern Orthodox by the way if you haven’t guessed.)

Wasn’t aware that there was a ‘speed limit’ for ‘one-horse open sleighs’ ! ! ! Guess there will be no more ‘dashing through the snow’ ! ! ! !

Looking at the horse, I don’t think it could dash anywhere.

“22 and one half miles per hour, Officer.” Aka a mile in 2 minutes and 40 seconds or as the song says “240 for his speed”

From the look of that horse, they couldn’t have been dashing very fast. He’s no Seabiscuit.
