One of the regulars I see when I go for a morning walk is a woman who I’d judge to be in her 80s, with a severe spinal curvature that has her leaning to her right. But she’s always out there walking, without a cane, and I have the greatest respect for that.
I started wearing one a few months ago. It’s crazy. Yesterday I spent 45 minutes mowing my back yard in 89 degree heat index, and it showed as nothing. Last night I took a tv commercial break to nuke some leftovers for a snack and it popped up as 13 minutes of activity.
Years ago, I was driving beside a walking/jogging trail one early winter afternoon. It was drizzling rain and about 45-50 degrees when I saw some buff guy come jogging by in his running shorts and shirtless. I was thinking he was just being some kind of showoff. But then about 100 yard behind him I see some guy, in his 70s at least, chugging along the same trail in his running shorts and tank top. Had to readjust my evaluation to simply two crazy (to my thinking) health nuts.

Half of his Fitbit reading came from the effort of trying to dress himself.

I always enjoyed my Fitbit announcing I’d reached the 10,000-step goal for the day – as I was rocking in my recliner! (True story)
