Did Satan create apple trees? Because it seems like only a sadist would put something delicious in front of people and then tell them it’s forbidden to eat it.
I have a friend who thinks A.I. is the culmination of the forbidden fruit and therefore will be the end of humanity. I have a different theory. God gave us free will to choose to learn or to remain ignorant. We chose to learn. Our scientific discoveries bring us closer to knowing Him each generation. And that once we’ve learned all we can, generations from now, He will reveal Himself to us, and speak to us as a parent to their adult child. Anyway, it’s a nice thought.
The angel is making a suggestion about His plan which amounts to a criticism of it (since His omnipotence took this scenario into account back there at instant One, when creation happened, and obviously it is necessary for Eve to fail to obey a Divine command while in the Garden because blah free blah blah will blah blah learn blah the hard blah blah way.
Because God’s Will. And don’t ask — only He knows.
Hey, angel — it will all be made clear to you, and to everybody else. At some point. Some time. Some day. Some era.
A little advice for you, angel. No more of this “questioning” — which sounds a lot like “directing”. You hear?!

“… give them a little … until it’s no big deal …”
… sounds a lot like the way the Satan often works.

Eve said to Adam: “Get away from that tree,You’ll pick the fruit And they’ll blame it on me.”

It is believed the original forbidden fruit was probably a fig, since apples are not native to the Middle East.
