Seems like that would only happen with‍out an impasse.

So it’s trash talk which means nothing will get decided.

Wait until they start talking recycling, and realize that it’s pretty much no longer economically viable.

Get that garbage out of here.

Nobody notices the garbage collectors, until they don´t come around.

One of my ex-bosses now owns a recycling business. He says that he likes to talk trash and that business is picking up.

New York City police have been known as “New York’s Finest” since the force was formed in the 19th century, and people started calling the firefighters “New York’s Bravest” in the 1960s, I think. Not to be outdone, the sanitation collectors decided around 1980 that they should be called “New York’s Strongest.” I hope the double entendre was intentional.

And if my memory serves, in the 1980s, after the sanitation union began demanding to be paid the same as the cops and the firefighters, the cops’ and firefighters’ unions put up billboards reading “Pay parity for sanitation collectors? GARBAGE!”

Ouch.

it’s always the same – one side just trashes the other and in the end nobody cleans up…
