That sinking feeling…

He’ll go down in history, or at least something will.

Time to float a loan…

Titanic was laid down in 1909 and launched on 31 MAY 1911….

Think of all the money we’ll save on lifeboats.

We tragically underbid this one. We can’t afford the grand ballroom and lifeboats that nobody will ever use.

What a sinking thought!

I’m sure Lloyds of London was happy to hear that too.

Then Harland & Wolff snatched the contract away.

He moved on later to designing hydrogen filled dirigibles.

Tragedy!

Uh… The Titanic was built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast, Ireland.

And they were sad when that great ship went down.

Time to use up all those sheets of inferior, brittle steel that have been collecting dust in our storage yard..

Is this company liquid?

And its sister ships, the Olympic and Britannic, were also lost at sea. One having been converted to a hospital ship during WWI and struck a mine in the Med.

Who got the lifeboat account?
