Well, at least somebody from the town admitted that those boys were always trouble. Unfortunately, the Nazis are getting closer and apparently are very interested in the Hawkers.
Possibly interesting note: Originally Vesper’s last dream, Pepper the fox’s introduction, and the Swan Eaters Christmas storyline happened in between Clover’s clap and this strip. In order to make the Christmas story align with Christmas, I shuffled the strips (and thanked my past self that I did not give Wigglesworth any speaking lines during those stories, lol!) Moving the strips around and reading along now, I actually like this pacing of the story much better. I like that we hear that the Hawkers got away from these rad little ladies, instead of already knowing their fate. This was a happy accident!
Hmmmm, those boys were always trouble, huh? So that means the father was always trouble too from the looks of things. But the bad thing is how close this Nazi Medusa monster is to the Hawkers.

Blew away on the wind? Yep, ashes tend to do that . . . as the Big Lebowski found out.

perhaps the Nazis will come down with a case of the clap like the father and those boys did.

Maybe the boys caught a case of the leprosy. If you don’t like leping, don’t leper.

Glad they got away…for now. I wonder how many days are between the last strip and today’s. How close are the Nazis?

Great strip, glad to have found it. Spent some time catching up. I’m definitely worried the Hawkers might get caught up by the Nazis. I sure hope not.
