Wondering when Tarzan picked up the word balloons. Hal Foster, first artist, didn’t use them – or on his later strip Prince Valiant. We’re not seeing them here with Burne Hogarth either (at least at this point). Anyone know when?
Dang. The only thing missing from this scene was a Helen-Letha pillow fight. Well, that, and John Belushi hopping from window to window on a tall ladder, peeping between the curtains. I guess we’ll just have to wait for tomorrow’s “strip.”
