Murder on the “Disorient” Express.

Every story needs a femme fatale.

Tarzan is a bit thick here. The real Tarzan would be suspicious. She doesn’t know Warrick well, or she wouldn’t have mistaken Tarzan’s identity. She may have been trying to save Tarzan’s life, or realized that killing him would mean the baddies couldn’t discover the map/treasure. And traveling with you means she’s on your side? (I remember the Doc Savage pulps where the ‘mystery’ villain was someone who was traveling with Doc, and some warning about nurturing a snake at your bosom.)

Tarzan wants her along because he likes living on the edge.

We’ll know when she knifes one of us in our sleep.

Tarzan continued, “Either way, D’Arnot, it doesn’t matter. The crazy dames always fall hard for me, and then implode spectacularly. Honestly, just sit back and enjoy the ride. Maybe we’ll even get a couple more Helen-Letha lingerie scenes. We’ll be fine.”

With women — as with all matters, you take the good with the bad. Enjoy the good. Endure — or possibly even seek to improve — the bad.

(This is also risky.)

This storyline is really very boring. Unfortunately, since it’s older than I am, there’s nothing to do but ride it out.
