Existential comics Woman: Being precedes essence! Man: Yo mama! Woman: I've been wondering something lately: what's the point of living well when you're just gonna die in the end? Man: Congrats! Every philosopher since Aristotle has wrestled with that same question... Soren Kierkengaard believed that we become more aware of our relationship to good as we age, thus resolving the dilemma with a leap of faith into eternal truth. Sartre, on the other hand, said that we live in a meaningless universe in which choices are all that matter. Of course, Plato advocated an immoral soul scenario in which our ideas exist in and of ourselves, create an ethical society and rationalize scientific knowledge- good is achieved when one's soul is in harmony with those ideas. Woman: So the pont of life is to sell a lot of books filled with meaningless tape? Man: Hey- the wrold was like this when I got here.
