Woman: I'm back from therapy! Man: Any luck, Mom? Woman: It was great! It turns out that my biological mother was an alcoholic. I was put up for adoption but I waited for years in an impersonal institution. Ultimately I was raised by a "father" who molested me and a "mother" who beat me up. They drove me half-crazy, which is why I married your lunatic father. Naturally, I repressed all of these memories thus permitting me to lead a normal life. Man: Well, you've been a great mom. Woman: Ungrateful son! Man: What the hell are you doing? Woman: Passing on the cycle of violence. Man: Better late than never! By the way, my wife's pregnant.
