From bbear’s pictures yesterday – “Spiders are our friends” – well, I don’t hate spiders, but I don’t love them either. They don’t scare me, but they still creep me out. And every now and then when I eat my lunch outside at work, I am joined by a spider. One of the “joys” of the great outdoors. This happened again a couple days ago. I was eating lunch outside (what little my stomach would allow since I was not 100% over that nasty stomach bug) when I saw the spider crawling around on the beach blanket I use out there. One of the things I enjoy about eating outside is that I can take off my shoes and socks and I can wiggle my toes. I really hate wearing shoes! So the spider went and climbed around on my shoes. I don’t kill the spiders that join me (it happens maybe 3-4 times a summer, tops) but I’d prefer they would not visit me at all.
