He hasn’t a clue what dynamite is! Sweet baby.

I tried giving Max and Tosh kitty treats, they were having none of that. If it didn’t come from a can, or was on the counter, defrosting it wasn’t interesting. They once drug a roast off the counter, still frozen, and gnawed on it.

Well, if the cats can talk, why shouldn’t the treats be able to talk too?

Today is:

National Coast Guard Day

National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. Well, it’s my day off and it’s supposed to be a bit cooler than average (low 70’s for a high, last I heard), so baking cookies shouldn’t make the kitchen too hot. Yes! I think it would be a wonderful day to bake chocolate chip cookies! I haven’t baked any in weeks and weeks.

National Night Out Day. I do have plans to go out in the evening. I want to drive my car up to the mechanic’s so he can get working on my brakes first thing in the morning and I won’t have to get up early Wednesday morning to drop off the car. That’s not quite what they had in mind, I know, but it’s something I need to do. It’s less than a mile to the mechanic’s, so it isn’t much of a “night out”. If the mechanic can’t get to my car first thing in the morning (he keeps very busy), it’s no big deal since I’m taking a personal day off Wednesday anyway. I wonder if I’d get my car back faster if I brought the mechanic some of my chocolate chip cookies?

I thought of the same thing, but I thought it would be best not to go there, so I just mentioned that I’d grab a few cashews. I did have a few cashews too!

Our boys don’t know what treats are. They’ve never had any. Why not? Because when Moose had his kidney stones, the vet said treats weren’t good for male cats. Whatever is in them can contribute to the stones. They’re not the poor, sad deprived kitties one might think they are. Brad gives them bits of chicken. I give Blackjack pieces of shredded cheese.

Yum Yum loves her treats. Her new cat fountain, not so much. I am determined, however, and it’s keeping its place next to her food.

As, I mentioned yesterday- I’ve had food call me. Also, Q-Tip is on a medication- liquid in the morning. It’s a compound, so he liked the 1st version. The 2nd was stickier & not a good taste as far as I could tell. The next one was perfect & he comes for it. Now, Boots is jealous. I just ordered the next rfefill & was telling the Pharmacist. They’re going to give me a placebo for her when she comes along & starts telling me I love Q-Tip more than her.

I can’t keep “human treats” in the refrigerator. Nothing wrong with the refrigerator. The treats call to me, especially when the door is open.

I don’t know which is louder, chocolate or cheetos. I can put on the TV or music, and I can still hear them calling my name.

Dynamite? That sound like how Rip Haywire would get a lid off a jar! KA-BOOM! Oliver probably shouldn’t try it, though. On another note, saw two dragonflies, a robin, and a rabbit while out walking today.

I kept everyone fed today…cat, dog, donkey, raccoon, wild birds and grand dog. I managed to feed myself too and made peach preserves. Nice day and we might set a record low tonight…dipping into the 50’s.
