I picked 105 peaches from my peach tree over the past couple days. There are about 6-7 peaches still on the tree, up on branches so high, I can’t reach them with my 8-foot step ladder. I gave some peaches to 2 of my brothers. Here’s a picture of the peaches I got (before I ave some away).
There are quite a few more peaches on the ground, too, but those are rotten ones. And I have more peaches not in this picture which also have rot spots on them, but I ate a few of those, just cutting off the rotten parts, and they were really good.. My total peach count if those rotten ones had not been rotten would probably top 130 peaches. Not too bad, since I had zero peaches last summer due to a harsh winter and polar vortex and a late spring freeze.
Time and motion experts are supposed to figure out efficiencies, not just encourage harder work. Now, for Annie, her work gets more efficient whenever Chesney and Jack stay on the loading dock.
@Sweetpeapete . . Beth, I missed your (late) post about little Yesmin…so I just went back 2 days and found it. Oh my, that poor child and her family. Thank God for friends like you and your Sarah. Prayers!!!!! Will keep ’em coming.
@SweetpeapetePlease keep us posted on Sarah’s “pupil” in the hospital…we all care for the young and helpless, or should I say, dependent on others for their well-being and safety.
Well, Annie certainly hustled them to the loading dock with oomph and vigor. If anyone needs to more efficient, it’s Chesney. I mean, he wasted a whole day planning for a trip to the beach, for crying out loud! On another note, saw three dragonflies and a Stellar’s jay while out walking today. I also saw a robin outside.
Update on Yesmin. Her blood sugar is down to 239 (highest was 1700). She got to leave ICU this afternoon after an MRI of her brain which is apparently all right, and move to a regular room. (she’s also running a high fever today)Sarah is driving back to Memphis in the morning to take Mom Yuri some clothes and necessities. Sarah also paid her electric bill today (flex pay can be done by phone). I am making lists and baby sitting Sarah’s dog, Murdoch (my dear grand dog). I’ll go to her house to check on the chickens and the cats while she is in Memphis. I am going to contact Yesmin’s school counselor tomorrow to let her know what is going on. Even though she is doing virtual school, the regular school needs to know about the diabetes and hospital stay for if and when the kids go back to school there .Again…thanks for the prayers and good thoughts.

Anyone who can keep that huge warehouse clean is pretty efficient if you ask me.

The cats sort of jumped the gun on wanting that beach day. Today would have been a better day to go to the beach because…
Today is: National Beach Day. Sigh! I’d love to go to the beach, but I have to work.
National Toasted Marshmallow Day. I’d like to do that at the beach!
National Grief Awareness Day. Sadly, we’ve all experience a lot of grief in our lives and a lot of it with all of us “Ten Catters” has been recent.

Annie should take that broom and just sweep them off the loading dock…..and chase that bird with it, too.
