Oh no! How did he end up in Bavaria? And how is Annie going to get him back? We all know he’s a little stinker, but Annie loves him all the same.

Today is:

National Cream filled Donut Day. Oh, how I LOVE chocolate donuts with the white cream filling (NOT custard filling)! And it’s been so long since I’ve had one! I want one now!

National Boss/Employee Exchange Day. Yeah, right – I can’t imagine any bosses who would be willing to trade places with an employee. Not happening!

National Live Creative Day

National Eat a Hoagie Day

National Virginia Day

National Sober Day. For me, every day is sober day because I don’t drink.

I had a little surprise a little while ago. I stepped out my back door to get something from the porch when I saw a young possum out on the porch, eating cat food. The possum was as startled as I was. But I have to wonder how that possum got on the porch when I had the porch door closed? I closed the porch door just before leaving for work at 1:30 in the afternoon. I got home from work a little after 11:30 at night and I didn’t see the possum then. But then, just after midnight, there it was. I wonder if the rest of the family is out there too? I left the porch door open for the night now, hoping the possum will leave.

The short staffed overworked postal guy read Abu Dhabi as Bavaria.

The smoke from those horrible wildfires has reached Chicago. Our skies today are a gray haze, and according to the news, it is the smoke blowing this far. How sad to think of the immense loss of life (humans, animals, trees), the devastation, the suffering. My heart goes out to all.

Chesney, there is some good food there. Enjoy it while you can.

Looks like Chesney got farther than he did the last time he tried to take a trip. Wonder if he got there on a tractor? (Probably not.) On another note, saw a Wilson’s warbler, a dragonfly, a robin, and a junco while out walking today. I also heard a chickadee. Also saw a Stellar’s jay outside.
