my SIL and I survived a trip to the grocery today. I’ve never seen so many people shopping. They were out of Pilsbury Pie Crusts, so I’ll make mine from scratch. I was hoping to save a little time, because I’m still unpacking boxes, but no…. I’m also making Pecan Pie cake/cookie squares, and branded cranberry cherry sauce. I think I’m about the only one who likes cranberry sauce tho. It’s so good. I usually put it on everything.
I am also a big cranberry sauce fan, and not the shimmering space goo in a can. I introduced the real stuff (with a little orange zest) to my family as a young cook.
National Cashew Day. I have some cashews. The can is almost empty, but I can certainly eat some today.
National Eat A Cranberry Day. I’ve heard of eating them in sauce or even dried like raisins, but I haven’t heard of eating them in their natural state. I don’t have any cranberries anyway.
I have a question – sorry not related to the strip, but I know we have some tech smart people out there who can maybe answer this.
I got my Samsung Galaxy Pro XCover phone from Walmart a while back. The phone belongs to Walmart, but I can use it for personal use (no, I won’t put any personal information on it, like banking information or anything – I just want to be able to text and make phone calls to family). My brother, Paul (the one who did my home repairs this year), has put me on his family plan so I will have unlimited call and text for just $20 a month. So, AT&T sent me a SIM card and I installed that in the phone. But when I try to make a call, I get a message saying that I am not connected to a network. I have never had a cellphone before (just the pay-as-you-go flip phone, which barely counts as a cell phone, since all it can do is make and receive phone calls). Is there something I need to do to get the phone working? Do I have to go to the AT&T store to get it connected? The nearest AT&T store is very close to my Walmart. In fact, it’s in the parking lot of the mall where I have lunch with friends once a month. But when I called them today to ask if I need to see them to get the phone working, they put me on hold for over an hour before I finally hung up. I swear, they had no intention of taking my call at all, so I’m not anxious to see them in person on my lunch hour tomorrow. They’ve had terrible reviews of poor customer service. I wrote a bad review of my own, stating that the only reason I gave them one star is because that is the lowest rating they allow. I really give them zero stars. Calling AT&T’s customer service number was equally useless.
I also noticed that there is a paddle lock icon on the home screen that shows the paddle lock locked. Does that mean the phone is locked? Could that be the reason I can’t make calls?
Uh oh, They may be thinking about Annie, but it looks like they’ve stopped thinking about saving the warehouse. They really need to get back on track. On another note, saw a golden crowned Kinglet, a varied thrush, and two rabbits while out walking today.
LILY !!!!! Please reinsert your bossy self as clowder leader before those two wreck the telethon! Wait…is that the national guard approaching? …. a lynch mob? …. Annie’s grandparents with kitty carriers? (10).
I visited my small local natural foods store today to get high PH water. (in two gallon containers), which is what I drink…only. I always have to give details with my name to get to my account because there is someone else who shops there with my same name. Today they had a new wee device, I put my forefinger on it 4 times, and it saved me in its database. So now I just put my finger on it and it knows who I am. Yea! They give rewards with purchases, a percentage saved for a later cash in.

Don’t worry, guys. Annie will be in your future. She’ll visit you when you go to jail for fraud.

So Chesney is thinking of Annie a little, but he still isn’t saying anything about fixing up the warehouse.

National Espresso Day. None for me, thanks.

If they have enough for a Cadillac, the ones from the 50s are pretty darn cool.
