The temperature here is slowing rising this week. There’s been talk of (shudder) triple digits. Not ready! July…maybe.

Just one more comment on the Northern lights as several people commented on them yesterday. I’ve been getting the e-edition of my newspaper (I no longer get the paper copy) and it had an article about the Northern lights. I was trying to find a way to copy that article to share here, but it wouldn’t work. But it said that NOAH (or is it NOOAH?) has a website where you can track the Northern lights and know when to watch for them. I have not looked up that website yet.

I’ve been wondering about something and maybe someone here can answer my question. I have an older computer and I have stuff on that computer that I would really like to access – games I’d like to play again, and possibly even my first draft of my book, Wanda Weird before it became book length (it was more like a short story – characters not fully developed, etc). I had not been on that computer in many months before I decided that I wanted to look things up that are on that computer but not on this one (with hopes of putting some of that on CD’s to copy to this computer). But I can’t get anything to come up on that computer anymore. I just get a blank screen. The monitor works – I get a message on it – if I remember right, it says “no signal”. I can’t even open CD’s on it. I was testing to see if I could look at CD’s of pictures on that computer. I used to be able to do all that stuff, but as I said, I went many months not using that computer (probably a couple years). Would the reason I can’t get anything to come up now be because the operating system is so long out of date? I don’t remember which version of Windows I had on that computer – it was after Windows 98, but I can’t even remember what all came after that. But if I got a more current version of Windows installed on that computer, would I be able to access what is on it?

Just bring Bathtime Bertha by for a few days, or minutes, and Chesney’s nonsense will end, at least for a while.

Chesney, stop pushing all of Annie’s buttons. She’s trying to study.

Anybody besides me think that Ches’s pointing arm looks a bit odd? Can someone explain it for me (yeah, yeah, I know it doesn’t matter….what matters is that he’s gone back to his normal behavior…)

Masking tape would serve well over Chesney’s mouth! Of course, so would a thesaurus IN his mouth!

For the third time this week, Chesney is banished to the loading dock. He’d better quit while he’s behind. On another note, saw a wren, six robins, two towhees, and three juncos while out walking today.
