A big ‘Thank You’ for the welcome back yesterday from you all, it’s been a frustrating couple of months.

Come on, lady, ten cats isn’t that much! I’ve had more than that at once (as I do now).

It is also Go To Ohio Day. Well, for me it is. So don’t look for me here tomorrow. As you may recall, my cousin, Becky, died on the first of May. Although Becky and I were quite close, what with being born on the same day and all, I never really thought I would go to her funeral. I always expected her to die before me because she had health issues. But we had both agreed that when one of us died, the other would not travel all the way to the funeral. And eight hour drive for a funeral service that lasts about 20-30 minutes just didn’t really make sense. We both accepted that. But when another cousin, Myra, heard about Becky’s death, she began arrangements not only for a memorial service for her in Springfield, Ohio, but a family reunion too. And I do have an Aunt Lois who just turned 97, so this will most likely be my last chance to see her. So, my sister, Mary, and brother, Daniel are going to Ohio for the funeral and reunion. We’re spending Friday night with relatives. We will go back home to Wisconsin (Mary lives in Illinois, so we’ll drop her off on the way) and will be home late Saturday night. One other brother, Paul, is also going, but he is going on his own. not with us, because he lives in Indiana. So, I will see you all Saturday night (early Sunday morning)

I live in a small town in southern Wisconsin.

More on the heat – our overnight low on Thursday night was 81 degrees. We set a new record for the warmest overnight low for that date. The old record was only 77. We are in for cooler weather all this coming week – back to mid 70’s.

Now THERE’S an oxymoron. Annie’s kitties, and the word friskies in the same sentence

It would be fun if Friskies picks up on that & does make a deal with Graham to use them on the labels.

She has no idea what a real cat hoarder can accumulate! Annie is merely a collector of kitties!

Who made it your business, lady, as to how many cats Annie takes care of?

Annie doesn’t ‘have’ kitties, she rescued and looks after them .

It’s amazing to me how many people are reacting negatively to this woman (I assume in large part because it is a woman). I think she was being nice — Annie and the cats — great for a cat food label.

If Annie’s sweet face was on the Friskies tins, there would be a surge in sales.

I’m glad that More Cats than sense is back. Now if only Eldo would come back.

If you don’t mean to gossip, then mind your own business, lady. Annie is taking good care of those kitties, after all. On another note, saw two dragonflies and two Steller’s jays while out walking today.
