Manhattan was flooded yesterday and trains went out of service. Commuters were told to Take a Bus!. In the Central Park Zoo a sea lion floated over her enclosure and strolled/swam nearby. Lol. She swam back home shortly thereafter with 2 other seals. The seal pool has always been my favorite exhibit.

Apparently it is their favorite place too. LOL !

What about the heffalump?

Replying to a student’s question, the professor said, “It’s in the sillybus.”

I loved reading it aloud. ( to myself). That was fun!

NATIONAL PUMPKIN SPICE DAY. Ugh! Pumpkin spice is so overdone these days. Sometimes it feels like every food known to man now comes in pumpkin spice flavor.

From yesterday’s comments daleandkristen asked, “@laughingkittyPanther update. She must be all over you by now!”

I wish! No, she still prefers not to be touched. I’m able to pet Annie quite a bit and she arches her back in pleasure, but Panther hasn’t reached that point yet. But she is butting heads and rubbing up on the other cats, and when she does, I get a chance to get in a few back rubs on her. That’s how it started with Annie, but it was a few weeks after that before I could pet her as much as I can now. If I could pet Panther by Christmas, I would be over the moon. But, if it takes until Easter or The 4th of July, I’ll take what I can get. No, it isn’t easy, but I’ll wait as long as it takes.

I think that was a great story. As I’ve said before, the world use more silliness. I’m sure Oliver enjoyed it and would say so if he wasn’t asleep. On another note, saw penguins, lions, tigers, bears (oh my) frogs, rhinos, hippos, Komodo dragons, and other animals while at the zoo today.
