I helped by paying $1000 for a college student’s cat after it needed emergency care. I hope that when they graduated and got hired they could pay it forward. I needed help when I was very poor and people came to my rescue.
Had some rain and road construction in different places on the way over but still made good time. We got our favorite room on the Pt Loma sub base. We got here just as a big regatta was starting so got to watch a LOT of sailboats. Big ones, little ones, all colors.
My daughter lost her job early in the summer. She’s doing drywall when needed by a friend who works for a construction company, and doing Air BNB at her wonderful house (built in 1940 by my dad, a log house constructed with logs from this farm’s forrest).Anyway, I called our vet and arranged for them to put her bills on my credit card. She has three cats and three dogs (all rescues). They are my only grandchildren and they will have whatever they need.
That was certainly nice of her. Good to see some kindness in this world, even if it’s just in a comic. Can’t say I blame Annie for crying. On another note, saw a Stellar’s jay, four chickadees, two juncos, and a squirrel while out walking today.

It’s nice to know there are good people in the world, even in the comics.

I paid for someone’s cat’s dental care. They all cried at the vet over it. Should have kept it anonymous.

I would have thought it was Chesney at the vet’s, after he had sassed Lily the other day.

There is still kindness out in the world, sometimes in the most unexpected places.

I don’t know why Lily was at the vet. I sure hope she’s okay.
So nice of the lady who paid the bill.
I do love the woman’s pink hair.
