I think the phrase " they used to laugh and call him names" hit a little too close to home. Come here, I’ll skritch you between the ears. What? It’s Christmas!
I will say this for his current rant – it’s kept him out of trouble for a few days.Yesterday my sister and I made the decision to cancel the trip to Scottsdale. I was still coughing too much. Now, I almost regret it because I feel great. But, I guess I could relapse so maybe is was a good decision. We’ll try to a trip during Brads’ Spring break in March. Maybe Lake Tahoe…
Re: answering the phone like Buddy the Elf :I never did that .But my dad had worked in funeral home when I was a kid . One day I was in a goofy mood(this was before Caller ID) & I answered our home phone "’ (our last name ) Morgue You Kill ‘Em We Chill ’Em!’ The person on the other end said "Uh this is John Smith (not real name ) from ____ Funeral Home …is your dad there please? " I was SO embarrassed & apologized profusely. He said it was OK & asked again to speak to my dad. (thankfully I didn’t get in trouble w/my dad .)
