/// That white horse seems to think he is One

of the Family (just like a son).

    Their dog futilely begs,

    then he nips Mama’s legs.

Dobbin gets all the scraps. Fido? None.

Of course the horse must be well fed, if times get tough it might be the next meal.

Frederikke Hammershøi is much happier now that she’s back with her adopted family. They might live in a barn and have no concept of ‘proper’ behavior, but at least they aren’t angsty emo painters like her biological son.

The dad doesn’t mind too much about the special relationship between his wife and the horse, his main philosophy is “happy wife, happy home.”

    One of the Family

    Paste (including the quote marks)

    "Category:Frederick George Cotman" site=commons.wikimedia.org

(syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, and Yandex search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and choose the first Category: found, and once there find the first text string with One, and click its link for info and links that point to more info about this painting.

Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3070 (January 30, 2023) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing to info about this artist I used to point to here. First work by this artist used here.
