Gladys: Another car hit ours as I was backing out of the driveway. Our fender got a dent.
Brutus: Weren't you watching the traffic on the street as you backed up?
Gladys: No - I was watching our car's backup camera.
One of the down sides of having safer cars than 40 years ago, people aren’t nearly as concerned about an accident when they aren’t as likely to die. The days of lifting your license plate to fill your tank are over, and if someone hit you and your car exploded are over too.
Add in the mix of stupid drivers who aren’t paying attention and possibly high on weed (in states that have legalized it) while texting while messing with the GPS cause they no longer know how to get anywhere without a GPS and we have a problem.
