Even at 48, I know what he’s talking about. I remember the winter of 2nd grade seeming to take 3 years, but things that happened last summer seem like last month!

The good old days and the golden years are two different times. I will take the good old days. The golden years suck.

My good old days were about a month ago. I took a vacation from work, and didn’t go anywhere! (Actually, I cleaned my house)

Very true. This year has gone so fast it almost seems like every time I blink, another week has passed.

mom gets that way about us kids. she does and doesn’t miss those days.

For me,the good old days were the 1970s through the 1990s.

Good old days….take away the cell phones!! Think about the percentage of a day you are on a cell phone. I saw a couple on a DATE Saturday night…I think they were texting each other!

Same here, Ted. These days are really great except for the hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic fatigue syndrome, RBBB, pre-diabetes, a big belly that won’t go away, and, what I will call here, MAD, and believe me, you don’t want to know what that means.

Nope. There’s a reason for calling them that. Just because times are new and offer new advancements, we many times give up things that will never ever be recovered. Best example is the destruction or some might call, the evolution of the Family system…..

It’s nice to have the memories [while you can], but I wouldn’t want to relive them.

I can remember the good old days like they were yesterday. It’s yesterday that that I can’t remember very well.

Looking back, we often put on those rose-colored glasses, so we tend to think that things were so much better when we were younger, as opposed to how things are now. Every generation does this.

For what it’s worth, I read a book a long time ago that offered an explanation of why time seems to move faster as we age. I know Alvin Toffler was the author, but I can’t remember if the book was Future Shock or The Third Wave. Anyway, Toffler said the reason why time seems to move faster as we age is because the older we get, thr smaller a percentage of our lives a year represents. That theory has always made sense to me.
