Brutus should have made it simpler, and in 2nd panel say: “Well, wherever you go, remember to bring me back a doggy-bag.”

What a joy you are Gladys? Brutus should just take her to a buffet then she might find something she can eat. But, then she’d complain there are too many people there.

They should be having the family over for Easter Sunday dinner.

Poor Brutus wants to do the nice thing and take his bride out to dinner but in a subtle display of coyness, Gladys won’t tell him where she wants to go. She already knows, but wants to play games.

Brutus may be guessing all day. Maybe the place will close before he gets it right.

There is no going out at all on Easter Sunday with out reservations unless its chinese

Sounds exactly like my wife. Then when I ask her to pick one she says ‘Why do I always have to choose?’

Ok how about Greek? Thai? Vietnamese? Chinese? Joe’s Taco Truck? The Cereal Bowl? The lunch diner?

I dated a man who would ask me on Friday nights where I wanted to go for dinner. I learned the routine fairly quickly. I would name a restaurant I would like to go to. That became the one place he wouldn’t go. I would then ask where he wanted to go, and he would pick the place. It’s not always women who are difficult when it comes to where to go to eat. Sometimes it’s a control issue and then we have to decide if we want to play the game or not. Eventually, I decided not.

Waffle House? Why not the White House! So they can hobnob with Joe And Jill.

Please do not say any fast-food restaurant!!!

OK then you name it.

The same problem I have with my husband! He nixes everything I suggest until I suggest one he likes. Makes going out to eat no fun at all.

I used to have conversations like this.

OK Gladys says Brutus, “let’s order in and eat out”…

That’s enough to make Brutus tear his remaining hair out.

“I can’t name it” says Brutus, the restaurants already have names…

“OK, Brutus” says Gladys, “let’s go out to mom’s for some great home cooking”…

There’s always Chinese. However, I am sure that this isn’t your first restaurant rodeo with the wife. Just surrender. She will tell you if she doesn’t want to cook. Of course you could always offer to cook her your famous bar-be-cue. That might get her to make a decision pretty quick…..

I think Gladys just enjoys jerking Brutus’ chain from time to time.

we never have that problem, for the reason that our choice of restaurants is extremely limited here in the boonies. one of the few things i miss about tokyo is the infinite number of great restaurants to choose from. here? not so much…

Anything as long as it isn’t a corporate chain restaurant.
