Move to the south. Summer lasts about 8 months down here.

Enjoy the difference. Here we get 6 days of winter and they are brutal, we’re talking low 30s at least until 9:00 am.

7:30 AM here. I woke up to the sound of thunder and lightning. Summer is officially over.

Around here it is summer is 9 months anticipation and 3 months disappointment

You should visit northern Australia (especially in late January and all February).

You must live in Alberta.

Summer lasts 363 days here. (Florida). We might get two days of sweater weather in February.

Sounds about right. First snow Halloween, last snow Easter.

Uggghhhh. Summer and winter encroach on spring and fall. You’re lucky to get an actual month of either spring or fall because summer heat and winter cold start and end before they should. Most people including myself prefer spring and fall to the extreme hot or cold temperatures of summer and winter. If I had my way it would never go below 50 and never go above 75.

I don’t know where Brutus lives, but here, Summer temps started in May and continued till early September.

I grew up in the Deep South and summer seemed to last 8 months. I lived in Montana for 4 years and it was the opposite, winter seemed to last that long. I loved Montana, but winter, not so much.

Summer is hanging on here. It is supposed to be 99F/37+C here today and in the mid to upper 90’s/35-36C for the next week. We did get a bit of rain and now we have gotten (here at my house) 3.5in/88mm for the year. While I don’t like really cold weather, I do hope it cools off. Especially by the 1st part of December for my elk hunt.

Other way around here in Georgia. It’s in the 90’s for 7-8 months a year

Brutus must live near the Canadian border. Since we are north of you Americans, we tend to get much more snow, but we deal with it better. NOTHING stops Canadians…except a Tim Horton’s coffee and donut…always stop for them..ALL Canadians from coast to coast do that.

Autumn and winter are my two favourite months. I hate the heat!

You obviously do not live in South Texas! Our seasons are winter, spring, almost summer, summer, still summer, fall, almost summer. Then around again.

I don’t mind cold temps but I do hate the months on end of gray. I’ve always believed the phrase “ stick it where the sun don’t shine” refers to central Ohio.

By the way, why are you going to work on Saturday Brutus? Is Rancid demanding you work weekends due to your huge salary?

Well, Thorny, it’s like when you wait two weeks for your paycheck, and it’s gone in twenty minutes. Or after that two week vacation…. 15 minutes back in the office and it’s gone!

That would be the upper peninsular of Michigan.

Better than living in a place like Arizona where Summer seems to never end with 110 plus temps everyday

I love this time of year, colorful leaves falling, cooler temps. We usually don’t get snow until the end of November and the past few years it hasn’t stuck until mid-December.

We’ve boiled it down to Winter’s here and Winter’s near.

Road construction is pretty much year-round now so there’s one previously reliable indicator of the seasons.

In the entire length of that conversation, he walked 5 feet. He is obviously in no hurry to face Veebs.

It’s not that bad plus it has the best football both College and Pro, Baseball playoffs, Basketball just around the corner, not to mention Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. That’s stuff a lot of us really look forward to. That’s why it get six months……

If only summer really lasted just six weeks, I’d be a very happy camper. It’s still in the high 90’s here, and the forecast says there’s not relief in the immediate future.

Six months? Speaking as a Canadian, that would be a marked improvement.
