In the old days of VAX terminals (yes I’m that old), we had a clock routine to punch in and out, You just had to type ‘clock’ and it would time stamp you electronically. One guy was very much a clock watcher. He’d type in ‘clock’ put his coat on and then stand over the keyboard waiting for the 5 o’clock to arrive, hit Enter and then make a run for it
Brutus has a job that gets off at 5PM? Many of my jobs didn’t close down till 6 or 7. Getting out later did make getting home easier on the road. The only exception was for the job I did substituting in schools. We got out then around 4.
I was salaried and paid for the job – not the time – if the work was done, we could leave, but, we were also on call 24/7/365 for the customers we supported – it balanced out in the long run.
My thoughts run with the Parrothead fans’ comments. In 30 minutes Brutus will be in his Hawaiian shirt, cutoffs, and flip flops with a margarita in hand. Stereo will be blaring Margaritaville and Gladys and Mother Gargoyle will be in grass skirts and coconut shell bras and dancing the hula (wow there’s a visual for you!). IN HIS DREAMS!!!!!!
It’s always Happy Hour somewhere too. Doesn’t give you the right to drink 24/7. Back to work Big Guy. I’m with the Boss on this one, unless he says it’s okay because you are such a good employee and I doubt if he will ever utter those words….

What is the time zone lying east of Atlantic Time, and is anybody in it? Newfoundland uses their own special 1/2 hour time shift.
