“2001: A Space Odyssey”. “Lawrence of Arabia”. “Doctor Zhivago”. All on a 5-inch screen?

I’m sitting at my 4k-screen reading the comics. Which are ridiculously small, as if I were using my smartphone. Where is the zoom function, @comics.com?

My wife watches some TV shows on her tablet, my screen is big enough that I could if I wanted to

My online time is spent on comics, when I’ve read enough of them I just grab a book

I started adulthood with a 12 inch TV and I have continually upgraded to my 55 incher. There is no way I will attempt to watch a movie on my 4 inch phone screen.

I remember going to a movie theater back in the day when this new thing called cinerama (I think) came out. Three huge screens so big you couldn’t see it all at one time. Now we’re watching movies on a little screen you can barely see unless you have 2020 vision and a magnifying glass. Not sure this is progress, and I admit I need new glasses, but geez..,.

Okay, is it just me, or does the little boy in panel two look positively simian?

(And do we know the name of this character? I’m relatively new to reading The Buckets.)

I’ve been trying to explain to my wife my obligation to the youth of the country. THATS why I just bought the 75 in tv, and rearranged the family room to accommodate it. I don’t think she appreciates me.

wait until you are older. After spending enough time with a screen right in front of your face you look up and “surprise” you can’t see anything in the distance clearly for awhile.

Bigger TV screens, all those wars fought for bigger TV screens. Now you know.

I totally agree. Big screen is where it’s at. However, if you are in the middle of nowhere and want some entertainment, the small screen is better than nothing….

Some people just don’t appreciate your effort.

I found my adult watching a movie on his phone a few feet from his big screen tv

I was perfectly fine with my 13" black and white TV that got ABC, NBC, CBS, and PBS. I gave up on TV when it died.

I know this is a cartoon, but I gotta say: I find getting all your life-input from a single device really dangerous.

Maybe it happened in their universe, but in ours I’m pretty sure no one ever “fought” for bigger TV screens.
